The Greatest Game of S.K.A.T.E Ever

If you skate then you know about the battle at the berric's game of skate. Last weeks battle between Zero's Chris Cole and Real skateboard's/Adidas superstar Dennis Busenitz was the most amazing/craziest/best game of S.K.A.T.E ever to be captured. The best that I had ever seen. Both these skaters are beasts!!

For those that don't skate and don't know what s.k.a.t.e. is. It's like playing horse in basketball, but only when one person does a trick, the other has to follow otherwise they get a letter. First with s.k.a.t.e loses.
You don't have to be a skater to be mind boggled off this video. Truely amazing.

Omar Salazar's Upcoming signature Nike SB promo

In an earlier post, I wrote about Omar Salazar being the next pro on Nike to be getting a signature shoe. A hightop hybrid type of shoe that I recently found out uses Nike's fly wire technology releasing in 2010.
In my opinion these are the nastiest pair of Nike SB's in a while. Lol. Seriously. Getting a shoe from Nike is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity and Omar came up with this? WTF? Check out the promo video featuring the the designer of the shoe, James Arizumi.

Koston's New shoe!!

But not from his new sponsor, Nike! As Lakai ltd footwear just released it's holiday 09 preview of shoes which include new colorways of the Lakai Koston 1 and a new Koston 1 Hi. Interesting considering he left Lakai this summer.

Cons brings a little heat to the lineup

I got super excited when I saw this. Here is a pic of what I hope is an upcoming cons cts OX colorway. Red oxford with red rubber toe cap and red all-star label. Insane!!

However, Cons decided to release the suede version of this colorway which does not have a red rubber toe cap!! Bummed? A bit. Still a hot colorway which means those red oxfords still floatin around. Can anyone say "sample". Hit me up if you you have this shoe. If not, Cons if youre reading this. Send a pair my way. sz 9.

Some upcoming heat from lakai (eventhough they lost Pappalardo, Koston and Olson but I ain't mad atcha). Still looking up with some dope colorways and the Mike Mo shoe that looks like the best shoe to skate in ever!


From the boys @ soletech is an upcoming sal 23 vulcanized shoe for the chillers. I wonder if he had a say in these? but looking good. (etnies, please change your logo. looks too X-gamey to me)


Nike was out flashing some hot colors including a preview of the Koston dunk!! I don't know which one it is though, but I'm guessing it's the mid with the yellow. I notice the hideous Omar Salazar shoe in two colorways. Sorry Omar, you're still an awesome skater but no love for the new shoes. And various new colorways of the bruins and blazers coming up.

The Return of The Mecca.

the long anticipated return of the mecca is close at hand as Axion footwear has announced a holiday 2009 return to the skate game. With the skate shoe industry being taken over by corporate giants ie Nike, adidas, etc. It's gonna be awesome to see the return of the "skateboard shoe" that also isn't a basketball shoe. Not that I have anything against those companies but let me tell you that I am hyped on the return of Axion.

g one of the best skate shoe team in the history of shoe teams. I mean these are my favorite skaters til this day. Let it be known that I'll be rockin these out the store. The first day they hit. (or, if axion wants to send me a few boxes of 9.5 would be better).

Primitive weekend

Not gonna be attending the Maloof cup this weekend cuz realize I'd get a better seat from home via live webcast. Headed over to P-Rod's store Primitive last week to pick up a pack that they'd been saving up for me. haha. In my opinion, these are the best blazer sb colorways since the supremes. fyi, these were also worn by Froston all weekend in Copenhagen where he placed runner up to Pudwill.

Talked about the upcoming P-Rod III hitting stores next month but got an exclusive pic of the kicks right herrrr. Similar characteristics to the prior p-rods. this one seems like it would stand the test of time and wear. Of course, expect the hefty price tag of a hundred plus. Nice if I may add.




Note: 30 pair will be released at the maloof money cup on July 11 at the orange county fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, CA. These 30 will be special boxed and signed by P-Rod himself.
